In 1996 the Town of Lake Pleasant and Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY partnered to establish the Nathan Littauer Primary Care Center in Speculator. Located on Rt. 8 across from the movie theater (1/8th of a mile west of the Speculator 4 corners) our family health center is open year round, Monday through Friday with Saturday hours during the summer. Patient-centered delivery systems, patient satisfaction, positive medical outcomes and improving the overall health of the community are the priorities for Littauer’s Primary Care Center in Speculator
The Speculator Primary Care Center specializes in family medicine including pediatrics and women’s health services. A family nurse practitioner provides on-site care supplemented by regular visits from Littauer physicians specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. Appointments are always appreciated but same day, urgent care can usually be accommodated. Emergency services (life threatening) are directed to Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.
Our Center is one of six operated by Nathan Littauer Hospital so there is easy access to additional medical and surgical specialists if needed. Other services include blood drawing and retail pharmacy. Prescriptions may be dropped off at the Center Monday through Friday. Littauer’s hospital pharmacy will fill the prescription and deliver the next working day, by courier, to Speculator. Specimens collected at the Center are transported daily to Littauer’s laboratory and analzyed. Reports are then sent to your health care provider, in Speculator or elsewhere.
